A Semester Like No Other: Passport Fall Launch

At this point in the year, most young adults 18-22 are beginning a new semester at college. For nearly 60 students, last week began a whole new kind of adventure for them as our fall Passporters spent a few days in training before launching last Saturday.

Over the next three months, five teams will be doing ministry in India, Thailand, Peru, Nicaragua, and on an African Expedition serving in South Africa, Mozambique, and Swaziland. It’s sure to be an incredible and unforgettable semester abroad as these young adults experience new cultures, minister to the least of these, and get pushed far beyond their comfort zone.

Be praying for the teams and leaders as they settle into their ministry locations, adjust to the new cultures, and continue to bond as a team.

Passport Thailand

Our Passport Thailand team, comprised of 11 incredible women, will be spending their three months in Bangkok working with Mike and Kay Killar at Samaritan’s Creation. Samaritan’s Creation exists to rescue wome in the sex trade in Thailand and restore and empower them with the grace and love of God. The team will be involved in the nitty gritty — primarily working in bar outreach and participating in teaching activities for the women who have come out of the bars and are working at getting their lives back on track.

Passport India

The lovely women of our Passport India team will be spending their time working with Sarah’s Covenant Homes, an orphan care home for special needs children, providing surgeries and daily care for over 100 children. Their time will be split between the SCH location in Hyderabad and the original SCH home in Ongole, working with the children of the homes and helping with other ministry needs.
