Our Swaziland Base is Growing!

At a Glance:

Did you know that Adventures in Missions has an international base in Swaziland?

Earlier in the year, we built a large team house to provide lodging for teams of up to 70 people at our main site in Nsoko. The old team house is being converted into a computer lab, where we can facilitate tutoring and basic keyboard training for children and adults in the community. This year, we are building on the momentum we have in Nsoko and hoping to build a more fully functioning community and vocational training center. Follow this link to view all the details of the building project.

In the video below, Adventures Founder Seth Barnes share our hopes for Swaziland this year.

Adventures Swaziland is our longest standing, largest, and strongest international base. We come alongside local Swazi communities to meet the needs of 7,000+ orphans, have 72 graduates from our leadership training program, and have 75 local Swazis on staff across our 40+ care points.

It’s an incredible sight to see!

The Anchor Center is the campus and ministry site we are building to pursue our vision of vocational training and ultimate sustainability for this community. Sustainable people make up whole and healthy families, strong and active churches, productive and successful businesses. They are the cornerstones of sustainable communities. The Anchor Center will include staff offices, a CarePoint, housing for visiting teams, a playground for children, a clinic, a community garden and, with your help, our very first Vocational Training Center!

Our goal is to raise $33,000 for the construction of this Vocational Training Center.

Local businesses are looking for skilled workers in the areas of welding, electrical, and mechanics. Our Swazi community members already have access to discipleship, leadership training, and coaching. Vocational training is a foundational missing piece to help them stand as Christ followers and sustainable people.

We are thrilled about this project to add a vocational training center to our ministry here in Swaziland. This center will serve as home to a computer lab, technical classes, and many other resources for the community.

We are currently raising $33,000 to begin construction on the building! Will you join us and take part in building the Kingdom of God in Swaziland?
