Hurricane Sandy Relief Update

It’s been a few weeks since Hurricane Sandy devastated the Northeast. As media attention shifts away from the relief efforts and onto other things, it’s easy to forget there are still thousands of people suffering. People are still without homes, and it is only the beginning of the long road to recovery.

Adventures in Missions has already launched teams to help with the relief efforts, and we have more teams launching soon. If you want to be involved there are several ways to help.

Pray
Keep standing with us in prayer for the people affected by the hurricane. Pray that they’ll be encouraged by the relief efforts and that they can rebuild their homes and lives. Pray for opportunities for responders to show God’s love to the people they’re helping. And please pray for the teams from Adventures already on the ground and those launching this weekend and next weekend to Ocean City, New Jersey.

Even if you can’t go right now, you can still be part of the relief efforts in a tangible way. Give to our Disaster Response Fund to enable others to go serve people in need.
This is an important time for Christians to be on the front lines of responding to the needs in the Northeast. People are hurting, and we can love them. Make sure you’re subscribed to our updates to stay informed on ways to get involved.
